$80,000,000 Poker Tournament

2003 WSOP champion, Chris Moneymaker and 2004 champion Greg Raymer both entered the WSOP through online satellite tournaments. Chris Moneymaker, 2003 World Series of Poker champion, who won his seat into the main event by winning a preliminary $40 tournament turned that $40 into $2,500,000.

2004 World Series of Poker champion Greg "Fossilman" Raymer also qualified through the Internet. When he bested the record field of 2576 players, Fossilman took down the five million dollar first prize, double what Moneymaker won the year before.

The 2005 World Series of poker is finished. With 5,619 entries, the total prize money is a staggering $52,818,610.

There were three players who in the final table who qualified online. They finished 4th, (Anton Kanter, from my hometown of Lodi, CA) , 5th, (Andrew Black from Dublin, Ireland) and 6th, (Scott Lazar from Studio City, CA) earning $2,000,000, $1,750,000 and $1,500,000 respectively.

This was the year of the unknowns, and while for the first time in three years an online qualifier did not win the coveted WSOP Championship, online players took home over a combined $6,000,000 in prize moneys with three finishing in the final table. A critical element these online players success was the competitive experience they acquired from online poker via online tournaments.

To win at poker you need to play, and play a lot. Online poker allows that...and for very little cost. In fact, anybody can sign up and play for free for as long as they want. Then, when they feel they are ready to play, fund your account and start small and work up, develop your skills against real players for real money.

The bottom line is this: If you don't play, you cannot win. And with tournaments that pay off in the millions, those are millions of reasons why you should start today. Register and Start Playing TODAY - FREE to Register And FREE To Play
